Veteran of 18 years, I'd like to create a warlock and start maining it (probs affli, maybe demo). Which version of the game is the most fun for it?

Where is it in the best place currently dps-wise? Where is it the most fun to level? I dont plan on high level raiding or M+ing it (maybe like MC in classic, +10 M+ in retail), so mostly casualing it.

But where does it feel the most OP? Where does the rotation just click? And by "where" I mean which version of the game?
