Replaced the ENTIRE front suspension and still have a clunk!
Howdy, so I recently acquired this 84’ 300D. To no surprise after the first couple weeks it had a clunk in the front, I could hear it and feel it under my feet as the driver. No problem, I’ll replace the entire front suspension preemptively… every ball joint, every piece of rubber. Back on the ground and still a clunk! The motor mounts and the steering linkages were replaced within 5k miles of the previous owner, so I don’t think it’s that?
My smoking gun is it’ll make the same clunk going over a bump as when I turn the engine off. So I’m thinking it’s this steering damper and bushings? Problem is I can’t find the part number for them. Any other help is appreciated.
