Which to choose between Japanese 2 and 3?

Hi all, I just did the placement test for Japanese, and is allowed to enroll in either Japanese 2 or 3. In your opinion which one should I do? I read from a thread here 4 years ago that you shouldn't do Japanese 3 as it is too much of a leap from Japanese 2, so if there are anyone currently doing either giving their opinion that would be great. For context, I have a basic vocab pool and got through like 3-4 chapters of Tae Kim's grammar guide, and actually want to try to be fluent in Japanese.
