Maybe a hot take about KOA(?)

KOA is a great book and it's been such a fantastic read but this final battle at Orynth is just dragging on endlessly. There is so much filler and it feels like Sarah did this for dramatic effect but god it's hard to get through. Did anyone else feel like this? I'm at the point of skimming pages because I'm starting to get bored even though this is the final triumph of the entire series....
