Could Tony actually have started a new life in witness protection?

Back in Season 1 when Junior tries to have Tony hit, Agent Harris visits him in the hospital and offers him immunity in turn for turning rat. Carmella makes fun of him for acting like a kid in a tree house for feeling bound by his oath. Suppose, though, he takes Harris up on his offer, testifies against Junior and the New York families. Further suppose, the feds keep up their end, don't prosecute Tony, but give the Sopranos new identities and re-settle them in, like, Oregon or wherever. Do you think Tony had it in him to start again in some sort of legitimate career? How would the rest of the family take it? Do you think what's left of New York would find them?
