Alpha Artifact after Duga

Maybe I missed something important, but does the Alpha artifact show up at all after Duga? I recall seeing it in the room just before the Duga rooftop fight with Faust, but never after that. Does it show up again? I thought it was odd that so much of the first half of the game is centered on it, but then it's just kind of forgotten.
