Downvoting

Is the downvoting on help posts an effort to give negative karma to stop folks from reaching out? I thought part of this sub was to be of assistance. I've had some amazing folks help me so much in the past, and have many other posts bookmarked where troubleshooting was done with kindness and as a community.

I'd never downvote anyone that asks for help. Even if it's a dumb question, because what defines a dumb question? And when it comes to things like Dyndolod, there is so much to process.

I see it every day here now- a line of posts, all with zeros. At the risk of getting flamed, I'm saying something. It's not cool. Can't folks just scroll past any posts that annoy you, like an adult?

EDIT: I had no idea this post would bring up so many posts, feelings, and thoughts. At one point, I wanted to delete it, but it felt like a learning experience. That being said:

I want to reiterate how GRATEFUL I am for anyone who's helped me, from crashes to the nice people that got my cherry trees from the bigger tree mod, and more. My comment history should support this, I hope. The world is full of rude people, and I'd hate to add to it. Modding and posting my dumb Instagram Skyrim story are what gets me through the difficult spots, and I'm so thankful for the assistance I've had here.

Also, when I posted for help with no modlist, anyone could have reminded me to post it. I'd have done so immediately. Lots of us work demanding jobs and have lives, and we forget things. I doubt I'll forget again after being chided like a 10 year old, but it's all good. Running a reddit sub is thankless work.

Thanks for putting up with my whining, and I'll try and get in here and respond to some of the comments when I can!
