Can the crown be rethreaded ?
My father’s vintage Oysterdate 6094
serial number 744*** places it
as 1952 It has lume dial but no longer glows
I don’t have original box or papers
But I see he did have the crystal replaced in August of 1955 according to this invoice for a total of $ 3.00 lol
The crown is stripped as it won’t thread to the closed position
Is it possible this can rethreaded ?
It’s been in box in a drawer for the last 20 years it still runs!
Time for a new crystal again too
from the looks of it. Sentimentality
aside, are these repairs likely be worth more than the value of this watch ?
