Does anyone miss Ben's vocal delivery on LNOTGY?

I feel like he's got a different style on every album but since LNOTGY it's more Americanized and whiny. I think it really hurts songs like Parachute, 19 Seventy Sumthin among others. Not sure why he changed it, I think LNOTGY would be a lot worse if he had his vocal delivery from the last 2 records on it. Thoughts?
