I wasn’t ready

I love horror, especially existential horror and Lovecraft, and I’ve never read a page of manga before in my life, so naturally from what I’ve heard people say about Junji Itō’s works I thought it would be the perfect thing to dip my toes into, so I picked up Uzumaki. As of writing this I’m on chapter 4 and Jesus. Fucking. Christ. This thing does not take long to hit the gas and I am all here for it. The majority of recent western horror movies I’ve seen for quite a while have (in my opinion) sucked, and this is such a breath of fresh, disturbing as hell air. I can’t wait to get deeper into this manga and into more of Itō’s works, I can see why he’s referred to as a master of horror.
