My Converse Chuck Taylors have broken my heart
I bought a pair of black Hi-Top Chuck Taylors 5 months ago on the 31st of August for ₹5,000. Bought them from their official website. This was my first big splurge with my own salary. These shoes mean a lot to me too because I’ve always loved Converse for their versatility and classic style. As soon as I got the money, I bought the shoes. I thought it was an investment that would last 2-3 years maybe more.
Today, I noticed a tear on the left side and honestly, it’s heartbreaking. I’ve worn them regularly but not abused them. I do not run or jog in them, no recreation either just normal day-to-day use. They are done. Even if I stitch the tear it might looked bad. Looks like it's done.
Does Converse have a history of not being durable? Or did I just get unlucky? Is there any way I could get a replacement or repair? This feels like a massive waste of ₹5k man. Has anyone else had a similar experience? What should I do? Am I cooked?
Please share your thoughts. Also maybe suggest some durable shoes under 6k :(
