decent primaries for bugs?

I’ve been using the explosive bow for a while now and I’m so bored of it. I’m trying to grind medals because I went on a long hiatus from the game, but I’m so bored of the using the bow on bugs that it’s making my play sessions shorter. Are there any other primaries that are still decent against them? I’m working towards unlocking the purifier next & I already swap between the senator and the verdict and thermites and impact incendiaries to switch it up at least a little.
