Finally found my HG black bag- North Star Leather is top tier
I have spent the last several months searching for the perfect black leather shoulder bag. I’m normally a cross body girl, but I wanted a shoulder bag that I would always love and could possibly outlive me. Because of this, I was very particular (aka picky af) with what I wanted. My parameters were: genuine black leather, light weight, shoulder strap between 22 and 26 inches, smaller than 11” by 11” but still able to hold my phone and wallet and things, inside or outside pocket, slightly slouchy/hobo ish, and then the icing on the cake, fringe. So as you can imagine, this was a very difficult thing to find, until someone in another Reddit forum (either a leather forum or r/buyitforlife, I’m not sure) recommended this small business. I got this adorable fringe leather bag. This is on their website as the mini, it also comes in a larger size. It looked very small when I got it, but it holds a heck of a lot more than meets the eye. I emailed the company and not only did they shorten the strap for me, they actually added an inside pocket for a very reasonable price. The leather quality is sturdy but soft, it’s already developing a small slouch with is 10/10. The fringe is exactly what I wanted. The little reflective heart is cute. And it has that good leather smell to it. If you’re looking for something classic and want to support a small business, they’re great. (They have classic shoulder bags and hobo bags on the site).
