Middle-aged mainstream person person looking for new goth recommendations

Edit: Thank you everyone! Will listen to all the recommendations over the course of the week!

Hi everyone! So if you saw me on the street, you wouldn't associate me with goth - I'm a bubbly redhead who exudes way too much happiness.

I'm no longer young (in my 40s) - however, I've been a closet new wave / dark wave listener almost my whole life - my first introduction to any sort of alternative music was when I was 12 years old - a boy in 7th grade gave me The Smiths "Strangeways Here We Come" on cassette. That took me down the rabbit hole to discover all the great mainstream new wave of the 80s - The Cure, Depeche Mode, Peter Murphy - but I also fell in love with Clan of Xymox, Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil, and Dead Can Dance.

I went through an industrial phase in 90s - I love VNV Nation, Combichrist, KMFDM, etc. In the early 2000s I really enjoyed Apoptygma Berzerk and Beborn Beton.

Now I find myself stuck with the old and familiar and a little overwhelmed with newer bands. I recently discovered Torul and Chrom randomly on Spotify and I am ABSOLUTELY obsessed with both - mainly Torul. It's been a really long time since new (to me) music has impacted me so profoundly. I can't get enough of these two bands and I'm worried I'm going to play them out quickly.

It's reawakened my love for this genre. From what I can tell, my style is on the lighter side, with shoegazing dance-y vibes. Are there any other recommendations that you would think fit with this style? The Spotify algorithm has been a bit hit or miss. Two promising bands I'm checking out today are Electro Spectre and Zynic.

Anyway, it's time for me to get out of the 1900s with my music - excited to explore new stuff. Thank you in advance!
