Equipment and software for a beginner

I’m currently planning to buy an x1c to get started with fosscad projects and to make molds for ceramics / statuary / etc. I already have some blender experience so I plan to do some figure modeling with blender BUT I hear it’s not the best for these kinds of projects. I also know there is a CAD add on for it. Would blender and the add on be enough or should I go with another program like fusion360? For a slicer I’m thinking orca since it’s the name that keeps popping up. Does anyone see any glaring flaws or have any tips or thoughts about my plan? Love seeing all your projects and thanks in advance for any advice from the community.
