Disaster At Food Lion.

Okay so I’ve been Grocery Manager for 5 months within that time I’ve been trained on nothing. I was Closing MOD by myself after 1 night of training. My Store Manager is the worst SM I’ve ever seen and most who has worked with him has agreed. he had zero knowledge on anything & spends his entire day in office and when he finally comes out to take his daily walk around the store he has the worst ideas I’ve ever heard of in my life. Ideas that could get everybody in the store fired immediately.

My assistant store manager is never here he is always being sent out to other stores helping out while his current store is in shambles.

My Grocery Team is incredibly weak. But I can’t do anything because I can’t find anybody who wants to work here.

I had 6 interviews yesterday and only one even showed.

I’m down to 2 stockers cause the rest of my team either quit or moved to another store.

Meanwhile our Trucks are massive for what help I have currently. They don’t want me running the truck but if I don’t they will never finish it. Then I will get fussed at over why truck isn’t getting finished.

Along side of that I’m Closing MOD on every single truck night we have.

I’m to the point I’m just thinking of walking out every single day I’m there which isn’t normal for me. I know this can’t be just this store this shit has to be going on elsewhere right? Or have I just struck Oil on the shitland?

What is the secret? Everybody i spoke to has told me to stop caring so much. But I do believe that’s why this store is so Piss Poor is nobody cares.
