Why remote jobs require specific location ?

I’ve been searching for a Python-Django developer job since last year, but most remote positions still specify location requirements, often limited to Europe or the US. As someone from Africa, I’m finding it challenging to find job openings that are truly open to international applicants.

Are there any developers here working remotely from outside Europe or the US?
