Ritz Carlton versus St. Regis Aruba (Spring 2025)

Planning a short trip for Spring 2025 (mid-late April). RC seems like a safe choice, but with the St Regis set to open in December or January seems like that’s worth a look with the caveat of it having just opened. Will be my wife, MIL, 3 year old daughter and myself. MIL there to watch the little one for the most part as this is a temporary stand-in for a make-up honeymoon (Covid wedding, then pregnant etc…). Likely looking at 2 rooms, either 2 Club rooms at RC or something Ocean view at Regis. Will probably spend 1 days at Baby beach but likely the rest just around the resort pool/beach.

Anyone ever stayed at a St. Regis within 2-3 months of opening, any risk of things not being buttoned up completely? Other considerations?

RC has more food options and all of the Regis information isn’t even out yet making it hard to really get a read on how much (or little) there may be for our daughter on site (RC seems to have a poorly publicized kids club, even though she’s too young to attend alone). I’m thinking it’s pretty likely to catch a decent suite upgrade at Regis given it likely won’t be booked fully that early after opening, and staying at a brand new resort sounds like a cool idea, but hoping for some outside opinions. Thank you!
