is using davinchi resolve realistic?

so I would like to start editing people's youtube videos for money and im wondering if using the free version of davinchi resolve would be a turn off for people. im pretty proficient and familiar with davinchi so I would probably end up getting the paid version eventually, but to start I would like to use the free version. premire pro and final cut just seem absurdly expensive and i want a one time payment like davinchi.
