Bad/evil characters that tried to do good, tried to change for the better, but it didn't work?

Invincible season 3 has an opening where we see 2 supervillians try to leave crime behind, get a job and make an honest living. It fails and it ends with both of them returning to rob banks, and then getting beat up by invincible.
