Which video game franchises are fun to binge through?

Unlike movie franchises or TV shows or animanga, videogame franchises seem to be a bit more difficult to binge through due to the gameplay pacing.

After you have reached the end of one game where you already have a good grasp of the gameplay mechanics, have fought some of the most challenging enemies and bosses and have expanded your arsenal of weapons it is a bit hard to come back to the starting levels of the next game and go through another game to get that high again.

Still which videogames franchises are fun to binge through? I actually had a lot of fun playing through the Ezio Trilogy recently since it was satisfying seeing Ezio's character growth while exploring different cities in 15th/ 16th century Italy and Turkey.
