Beautiful new purchase, with loose grain/grain break
Gambled on those from private bulk seller on eBay for $280. Returns are not accepted. I love the color, the fit and comfort. Unlike my experience with iron rangers which I had to sell them after few wears and they looked and felt too big. It was like I was in between sizes in the iron rangers. So, I switched to Truman and it's all good. Unfortunately for my wallet, I kept going back to Blacksmith, initially wanted the black prairie I already have two black boots. So switched to the obvious copper rough and tough. But then came across the Briar and the color got me. So, I got them in my normal 10D and they fit perfect. The leather is very subtle and does not need any beaking. Inspected both pairs and things looked good, symmetry, stitching ,etc. But.... in the boot world, it rarely goes that smoothly 🤔. As you see in the photos, the moment I flexed my feet I noticed the right pair is creasing in a different manner compared to the left. I can't tell if that's grain break or loose grain. It's obvious through different parts of that right pair. Any how, I don't know yet if it will bother me as it's gets worse or I'll be able to live with it, especially when both boots have different creasing. Only tme will tell, I guess. Before some of you start chewing me with the "those are boots, beat them up" or "who cares, stop whining" 😁 I wear boots casually and not for work. What would you do? Don't think about it? Or you'd go crazy trying to find a solution 🧐
