Can low levels have some fun in BFN?

Just got this game yesterday despite all the bad stuff I've heard about it. I've played GW2 since it was released and was pretty good at it. I've probably played around 15 online games. In every game I'm getting killed by grand masters and elites. My highest vanquish count is 6, I can't last 2 seconds without getting two shot by an action hero. Am I just bad, late to the party, or is everyone else just too sweaty?
