LS Slayer needs upgrade help to push into T17's

I am playing Lightning strike slayer. I have had a great time with the build. My goal for the league is to farm T17's, and I am having trouble getting there. I easily blast through T16 8-mods juiced, but can't really make it through a T17 and DEFINITELY can't kill the boss. I feel like I am lacking in both damage and defenses to make that step up. I started with Fubgun's LS PoB, and since getting my headhunter have been taking inspiration from other PoBs on PoEninja.

I have spent the last few days farming up currency and am ready for some upgrades. So far my general ideas are:

• get similar gloves/helm/chest that I have, but better
  
• Add multiple abyss jewels with flat ele dmg and crit multi
  
• Swap to a 2-hander for better damage (Likely extremely expensive?)
  
• Big uniques (Nimis / Progenesis)

If anyone could take a look at my PoB and give any advice on anything I may be doing wrong or sub-optimal, or has any advice on the upgrade path that gets me good bang for buck, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
