Legion Pro 5 16irx8 games constantly crashing

I just got a new Legion Pro 5 about a month ago, since just 2 weeks into owning it, any game I play will eventually crash. Sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours. But always eventually will crash.

But it's a weird kind of crash. The entire screen freezes, and it stays frozen (while everything continues in the background, like if I'm on a discord call) and the only way to un-freeze it is to hold the power button and restart the computer that way.

When the screen is frozen, I can't move the mouse, I can't alt+tab, I can't alt+f4, nothing.

I contacted Lenovo and I contacted NVIDIA since it has a 4070. NVIDIA gave me a bunch of troubleshooting steps but it didn't work. After barely any questions, Lenovo said it's not a hardware issue so if I want them to help me further then I need to pay a non-warranty covered $100, which is absolutely ridiculous since I JUST bought this.

I also thought it might be the CPU, since it was reaching its thermal maximum while gaming. So I took actions to get the temperatures down from 100 C to 50-60 C, and the freezes still happen.

I am on the latest NVIDIA drivers. I am on the latest BIOS/VBIOS. I am on the latest everything.

My last resort step would be to do a factory reset and see if it still crashes, but that's a huge pain in the ass.

Is there any other possible things this could be, or ways to fix it? If I have to, I'll push back and argue with Lenovo to look at it without charging the $100 since it's brand new.

I've found similar issues brought up online but there has been no clear resolution for anyone. It's hard because if I'm not gaming for hours everyday it takes a couple days before I play enough in one sitting for it to freeze.
