Potentially false advertisements on house in England

Potentially false advertisement on a UK property.

Hey everyone. new to this so bear with me. I have recently started to rent a property in the UK that was advertised as being environmentally friendly and having solar panels installed. Both visits to the property we were informed they were working by two separate agents.

Now fast forward to. Well two days ago. We've received a message from the housing agent that the solar panels were not installed correctly and the business went bust. The bank therefore took over and are unwilling to complete the job.

Do we have a leg to stand on and make this task get done or is it a non starter?

"They were not completed as part of the building work. The owner of the site went into administration and the bank who have taken over will not be completing these."

This was the message I got from the agency after enquiring.
