Why is https://www.mathcha.io/editor not so popular despite being such a strong and user friendly latex editor?

One big down side that I see with https://www.mathcha.io/editor is of the incompatible .tex file it generates. So, essentially one might get restricted to that website only.

But, even then, the website is so much user-friendly that it can be used as a go to option. Also, is there any other platform which would generate a .tex file too while I can just focus on my essential writing and not the coding.
