Why you should get IEMs over cheap bluetooth earphones if you care about audio - A post
Purchased my first pair of IEMs and I'm loving these.
IEMs are known as In-ear monitors which are mainly used by professional musicians and audiophiles. Earlier, they used to cost a fortune (they do even now) but there are now cheap options available in the market. Ranging from 1000rs to 5 lakhs rupees, you can get an IEM for your needs.
Why choose these over cheap bluetooth earphones?
Well if you care about audio quality, you should go for these over wireless earphones/cheap wired headphones. A decent pair of wired IEMs with a DAC will cost you around 8k which will provide miles better audio quality than Apple Airpods.
For those looking for budget options (under 2000) you have many. Mine is a KZ EDX PRO x which costs around 850rs. If you can extend your budget go for KZ castor or 7HZ salnotes zero. These will give you a much better experience than any bluetooth TWS/neckband/earbuds or even cheap over-ear headphones.
These come with detachable cables, so you can replace them if damaged. You can also get bluetooth adapters for these under 2k to convert these into TWS earphones.
Why these provide better audio quality than wireless earphones?
It's simple. Wireless earphones have a very little space to accommodate for multiple speakers, dynamic drivers and other components responsible for audio quality. They generally have one single speaker, cramped with a battery, a PCB for charging, a mic, some senors. So there's no space left for multiple speakers whereas these IEMs sometimes have 3-5 speakers for better audio.
Lastly move on from spotify. If you are on the free version/modded version, I'd strongly suggest you to get YT music revanced where the audio quality is much better. If you're one of those premium folks, get apple music, the price difference is just worth it as you get lossless audio quality. For those who want free lossless audio, sail the seas, you can get FLAC files which are miles better than normal mp3 formats.
Let me know your opinions in the comments!
NOTE: This is for people who wants pure audio quality and are ready to give up the convenience of wireless earphones.
