Update - I Feel Lied To.

OP: https://www.reddit.com/r/GERD/comments/1i2zboy/i_feel_lied_to_1_year_after_nissen_and_im_back_on/

So, for anyone wondering, I was able to get an urgent appointment with my GI yesterday. Prior to that appointment, I was testing myself with little thing (see below) because I had a sneaking suspicion that what I was feeling wasn't GERD after all, that something far worse was happening.

I was feeling non stop pain, early satiety, H2 blockers/PPIs were doing nothing, I had pain in my esophageus along with dysphagia... it's not been a good week. At one point, water was inflamming me.

But then, 2 days ago, I did a little test. I ate a corn dog and giant chocolate donut. No reflux. This was in the middle of the day between the PPI and H2 blocker doses.

I started to suspect that my Nissen has slipped or is failing.

Anyway, I conveyed this all to my (new) GI, and he got me in ASAP. I have a scope scheduled for tomorrow and a CT scan set for next week. He took me seriously and agrees that this sounds like a failing Nissen, 14 months after it was done.

I'm beyond pissed that the NF failed so soon, yet relieved at the same time that someone is listening to me.

Looks like I'll be meeting my OOP max again... fun. I'll update more as I know more.
