Just unlocked Odin, should I just wait until I can afford the upgrades and reach NG+ to use?

So I've read once you get lv5 zantetsuken and upgrade Dancing Steel it's the best eikon to use. My question is since I don't have anywhere near enough ability pts should I just stick to what I'm using (mixture of ifrit/titan/bahamut/ramuh abilities)? The Odin abilities just seem so out of place with my setup and it's really unneeded in the first playthrough anyway?

I almost feel like they started to add too much by the end of the game. I liked how accessible the early game was it made it more laid back instead of trying to try out all these different abilities that don't mesh together very well.
