Hot Take: Getting into perfumes isn’t that expensive and most people don’t need full bottles if they’re on a budget

I don’t think anyone should ever blind buy a fragrance, because it’s like getting married to a person without ever knowing their context and who they are as a person.

Hear me out, most people will not be able to finish a 100ml bottle easily, and let’s say that bottle costs around 8K, and getting a 10Ml decant would cost around 1200/- (cost per ML would be higher in the latter but it’s still way more practical as I can buy 7 decants and then decide what I really want to commit to).

Fully committing to a bottle then becomes worth it, and guess what? You can still use a lot of perfumes for different occasions because a 10ML decant would easily get you at least 90-120 sprays, which is more than enough for people who don’t wear perfumes everyday.

The type of perfume you want to decant is also worth thinking about, a 20ML decant of a strong perfume like Mancera red tobacco intense would last you a really really really long time whereas a 20ML decant of a perfume like Rain Essence by BVLGARI wouldn’t but you can still use it judicially and buy another decant. (Saving yourself from big purchases)

By purchasing decants you can get a taste of what real perfumery is, as a lot of people can’t spend 20K on a Layton but can spend 2.5K on a 10ML and get that same kick!

A few small purchases is more practical than a big purchase that you might regret, thoughts?
