I'm curious, are Clevelanders as divided by sides as people portray them?

I'm originally a westsider, Grew up in a suburb, then lived on the westside of Cleveland from the time I was 18 until my mid forties. Then I moved to the eastside. First in Slavic Village, then a suburb. I still live on the eastside with no plans to move back in the foreseeable future.

However, that being said, I have no issues with traveling to anywhere on the westside or anywhere on the east. I guess I just don't understand those who act like their side is the "best" side, or that people who live on the other side from them are somehow lesser. Cleveland is a freaking great place to live no matter what side you're on. We're all Clevelanders, we should be looking for ways to bring us together, not drive us further apart.

just my 2 cents
