Most "chic" passive bookshelf speakers

Curious everyone's thoughts on what the best looking set of passive bookshelf speakers are? My wife is not a fan of the more "techy" looking options and I'm trying to find a compromise.

Requirements below - can be set on the credenza horizontally to disappear a bit in her decorations - Cannot be stand mounted - more of a "stately" look, no cones visible - Budget of about US 400 is reasonable - will be powered by a Yamaha A-S501

I thought the look of the Klipish "the sevens" would be a good example, but those are all powered and too spendy

I'm open to new or used, but I don't really want a refurbishment project either, so true vintage feels out of my wheelhouse....
