Thoughts, over?

All,

My girlfriend and I broke up—not due to cheating or violence, but because I was mean with my words. I asked her to come back, but she said it was over.

We still train jiu-jitsu together as partners, which involves close contact. Sometimes, she’s serious around me; other times, she seems fine. Today, she hurt her toe and let me put ice on it. She hasn’t removed me from any social media, still allows me to be around her child, and even texted me today to wish my kids a happy birthday. When we met at jiu-jitsu, she asked if I wanted to talk about a situation involving my kids.

After training, I walked with her to her car and tried to hug her. She stopped me, saying she didn’t want to send mixed signals. While walking, I asked if this was really the end, and she reiterated that it was—just as she had said before. I invited her to dinner on Valentine's Day (not as a date, just to talk), but she declined.

For context, we are both between 40-45 years old.

Given all this, what should I think? Is it truly over, or is she just keeping her distance, leaving room for hope?

Thanks in advance.
