Dog being impossible at night

SOS with bc mix! My pup is 19 weeks old and for the past month everyday at night he gets impossible. It starts when I finish working (I work from home) and he starts barking for attention non stop, bitting things that he knows he shouldn’t and does every single thing to get our attention. I switched his night walk to a bit before the craziness begins and even if I walk a lot or run with him at night he keeps being really difficult until we all go to bed. We tried also to lock him up and keep him away as punishment but there is no actual effect. ANY TIPS WOULD BE VALUABLE!!!!!
