Was Kalki 2898 AD super popular in India?

I've been trying to figure out the most popular movies of 2024. I'm looking at a variety of metrics, including how many reviews movies get on various review sites. I use metrics like this as an indication of how many people watched a movie.

There is a movie that has just taken me completely by surprise. Its an Indian movie called Kalki 2898 AD. Looking at other metrics, I gathered that it was a relatively successful movie in India. But then, I checked to see how many Google reviews it has. Google reviews can be useful because they're more international, whereas some other review sites cater more exclusively to English speaking audiences.

This movie got over 80,000 reviews on Google. For comparison, about 20,000 people left Google reviews for Deadpool & Wolverine and Joker: Folie à Deux. These were the two most widely reviewed US film on Google. Dune 2 is in 3rd place with about 10,000 reviews.

By the metric of Google reviews, Kalki 2898 AD blows all other US movies out of the water. Its a good reminder for me that Bollywood produces their own mega blockbusters.

Then again, part of me is suspicious. Because this movie got so many more reviews than everything else, it makes me worried that the reviews are artificial. I'm sure its possible companies to pay for reviews.

So, was Kalki 2898 AD genuinely a very widely seen movie in India?
