I want to teach Biology

Ever since I was a child, I have always been fascinated in Biology and am now currently en route to becoming a high school bio teacher. However, I’ve come to the realization that I want to go beyond that. I talked to one of my professors and he personally recommended becoming a community college professor. I love this idea a lot, but I’m worried about job scarcity (because of what I’ve seen people say online) and competition keeping me from being able to land a decent job. My professor insisted when we talked last that that wouldn’t be a huge problem and I’d likely land a job soon after getting my master’s (which seems like wishful thinking to me). What should I do?
